The weather is finally starting to cool down. I began to notice it yesterday. This morning when I opened the door to go to the latrine I was hit with some nice, cool air. It was quite refreshing and it felt really nice. I couldn’t believe it. It’s finally starting to cool down. I thought the heat would never end. I’ve also noticed that sunrise is later and sunset is getting earlier and earlier.

As a Noncommissioned Officer, I realize that I am a member of a time honored corps, which is known as "The Backbone of the Army". I am proud of the Corps of Noncommissioned Officers and will at all times conduct myself so as to bring credit upon the Corps, the Military Service and my country regardless of the situation in which I find myself. Oh yeah, a little bit cooler weather should make for a nice change of pace. Texas has been really hot this summer,too, and we finally got a break this week. I am so ready for fall..... :)
Yes, I'm so ready for it to start cooling down. The days are starting to get nicer in fact. I can't believe that I'm saying that 101 is a nice cool day.
